Fantasy Hockey Draft Order Generator
Settle your fantasy hockey draft order in a couple of minutes. Run a straight randomizer, or a weighted lottery with NHL-style odds so the teams that finished bottom get the better shot at the first pick. Free, and no account needed.
An NHL lottery for your NHL league
The real NHL uses a draft lottery precisely so that finishing last does not guarantee the top pick. You can run your fantasy league the same way: give each team a number of lottery balls based on where they finished, and let the draw sort out the order.
Set the ball counts however your league voted. Weighted lottery odds can run across every team, or only among the clubs that missed the playoffs, with everyone else slotted by finish. For a brand-new league, skip the weighting entirely — a flat random draw is the fairest start when nobody has a record yet.
Categories, points, and keeper formats
The generator sets the draft order, so your scoring format does not matter. Whether you play head-to-head categories, rotisserie, or straight points, and whether you draft snake or auction, the output is the same ordered list of teams.
That matters most in keeper and dynasty leagues, where pick position carries real weight — goalie scarcity alone can make an early pick worth arguing over. Leagues of up to 20 teams are supported, so deep dynasty formats fit in a single draw.
Reveal it when the league is together
Run the draw whenever suits you, then keep it sealed behind a shared countdown until your league is on a call or in the group chat. Everyone opens the same link and the order lands for all of them at the same second.
Add manager emails and each person also gets their own pick sent to them the moment the reveal unlocks — handy for a league scattered across time zones.
