For a brand-new league, a flat random draw is the fairest option — nobody has a record yet, so every manager should have the same shot at the first pick.

For a returning or keeper league, a weighted lottery fits better. You assign lottery balls based on last season's standings, so the teams that struggled are favored for early picks without being handed them. It is the same structure the actual NBA Draft Lottery uses, which makes it an easy sell to your league.

Setting it up

1. Enter your league name and pick a team count from 6 to 20.
2. Type in each manager's team name.
3. Turn on weighted mode if you want lottery balls, then set a ball count per team.
4. Choose an instant reveal or a sealed one that unlocks at a scheduled time.
5. Run the lottery and share the reveal link with your league.

Reveal it as a group

Draft order night is more fun when nobody finds out early. A sealed reveal generates the order immediately but hides it behind a countdown, so the whole league opens the same link and sees the results at the same second.

Add manager emails and everyone gets their own pick emailed to them automatically when the countdown ends — useful when your league is spread across time zones and can't all be on a call.
